Our History
First Church of God began in a tent revival meeting held in the summer of 1929. The First Church building was built in1931 at the corner of High and Church Streets in Eaton. In 1962, the church relocated to its current location at Harris and Union Streets. First Church is affiliated with the Church of God, with general offices in Anderson, IN. The Church of God has 2,307 congregations in 49 states and the District of Columbia, as well as 52 congregations in Canada. These churches minister to over 218,000 people. In more than 80 other countries there are over 4,432 congregations working with more than 392,000 fellow believers.

Pastor Andy Denniston

Pastor Andy and his wife, Jenessa, joined the Eaton First Church of God family in September, 2009. They have two children, Lydia (6) and Levi (4). Andy was previously the Director of Research for WTHR TV in Indianapolis and Jenessa is home with the children. They lived in Fishers, IN for ten years before moving to Eaton. They are delighted to be here and are so excited for all that God is doing and going to do in Eaton!

Michael is an Assistant Professor of Music at Indiana Wesleyan University and also serves part-time as Minister of Music at First Church. Michael is married to his high-school sweetheart Sarah from Rolla, Missouri. They currently live in Marion with their two sons, Nash and Mark. Children's Pastor Nikki Rech

Pastor Nikki is a seminary student at Anderson University's School of Theology. She will be taking a trip to Isreal this summer and will be sharing about her experiences this fall. Updates to come!

Youth Pastor Tim Rech
|
Pastor Tim is also a seminary student at Anderson University's School of Theology. Tim and his wife, Nikki, reside in Anderson and are both graduates of Warner Pacific. |
